The 2018/19 Ligue 1 season has been very surprising so far, other than PSG sitting top of the table. One of the big shocks has been Marseille’s poor form and they’ll be hoping to start turning it around in their clash with Bordeaux on Tuesday night.
Florian Thauvin has been in really good form for his underperforming team so far this term and he has 11 goals and four assists, only four players in the league have contributed to more goals.
The meetings between these two sides have been really close in the past few seasons as there have been five draws in the last six of those. Even in the only game that saw a winner, in the most recent fixture, it only ended 1-0 to Marseille and they are to yet to play against each other this term. None of the six games have seen over 2.5 goals, with three 1-1 draws and two goalless ones.
A win for Marseille would take them into 7th and towards European qualification. Although, both Thauvin and Kevin Strootman are suspended while Dimitri Payet and Adil Rami are injured. Latest matches: Olympique Marseille

The visitors could actually leapfrog their opponents with three points and a two-goal win but they can’t go any higher than 10th. Aurelien Tchouameni has returned to training this week but Nicolas De Preville and Zaydou Youssouf remain out through injury. Latest matches: FC Girondins Bordeaux

Marseille’s disappointing campaign so far could easily continue against Bordeaux with the two sides having a history of drawing matches. The draw seems to be a good price ahead of this clash whilst backing the draw and under 2.5 goals looks even better.
